On Tuesday of this past week, long time MRA friend and original member Tony Orfila of Orfila Sales Company passed away. Tony was 79 years old. He is survived by his wife Mickey, son Glenn, daughter Robin, brother Ernie, and eight grandchildren.
Tony and his partner, Rod Colato, started Orfila Sales Company in Los Angeles in 1969. They joined MRA in 1979, the second year of its existence. Tony was very active and became an MRA president. His company, which is now renamed Access Partners, continues to be very involved in our association.
Tony was universally loved and respected as a father, husband, and businessman. He was a former Naval Officer, and retired 20 years ago to Coronado Island outside San Diego, where he could keep an eye on his beloved Pacific fleet.
A celebration of Tony's life will be held at the Coronado Cays Yacht Club (30 N. Caribe Cay Boulevard, Coronado, CA 92118) on Coronado Island at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 4, in California.
